On Tuesday 3rd October, Alex from the RSPCA visited us to lead a whole school assembly and a workshop for our class.
During our class workshop, we learnt about the five things animals need to survive and thrive. We then thought about wildlife in our local area and what we can do to help it. Finally, we learnt about hedgehogs and how we can protect them before creating our own clay hedgehogs to remind us of our learning today.
A few things you can do at home to help protect wildlife:
- wash and crush cans before recycling
- cut up balloons before throwing away
- tell us a trusted adult if you think you've spotted an animal in danger
