“Walking hand in hand with God, as we strive to do our best”

A Warm Welcome!

I’m delighted to welcome you to St Joseph and St Teresa Catholic Primary School.

At our school we combine purposeful learning with fun and creativity, where pupils are given opportunities to work together collaboratively and as individuals. Pupils are expected to give of their best at all times in their learning, behaviour and respect for others.

We are proud of our creative curriculum and our high levels of academic achievement. Through a wide variety of opportunities, we aim for every child to reach his or her full potential and leave us as confident and caring individuals.

Our School is dedicated to St Joseph and to St Teresa of Avila and works closely with the parish church, situated just across the road from us. However, we don’t simply offer an education to Catholic children, but a Catholic education, welcoming children of all faiths and beliefs who are ready to embrace our values.

If you are interested in your child joining us, then please call us on 01749 678791 in order to arrange a time to visit.

Dunstan Catholic Educational Trust Vision:

We are a community of Catholic schools together aspiring to give children an all-round education rooted in Christian values in a nurturing environment where they flourish, become lifelong learners and fulfil their potential.

Our mission:

  • We will ensure that our curriculum is appropriate to the needs of each individual child, and that the approach to teaching and learning will always be based on the attitudes and values of the gospel.
  • We will educate the whole child, helping them to become confident, caring and responsible, understanding their part to play in the wider world.
  • We will nurture the child’s relationship with God through our Catholic teaching and through praying together to support their spiritual journey through life.
  • We will encourage and develop links with homes and parishes to build good relationships between all children and all adults involved in the life of the school.

Children’s mission:

God made the world and we should love and follow Him.  To do this, we will make sure that we do our best with the gifts that He gave us. We will always try to work hard, even when we find it difficult.  We will walk hand in hand with God, loving Him and loving each other.
