WE LOVE, WE LEARN, WE LIVE TOGETHER

Wells & Mendip Museum - March 2024

As part of our History learning on the Wells railways, we visited the Wells & Mendip Museum. The children took part in a trail around the museum to find new facts about the Wells railways. They were excited to see some of the original artefacts such as train tickets and guards bag. The children found out about the importance of Bob Fry and also the routes the trains took around Somerset & Dorset. We had a great morning!

Following our visit to the Museum, Colin Price, who is an expert on the Wells railways came to visit our class. He told us lots of interesting facts about the railways and answered the children's questions. What a brilliant day!

This trip was funded by the Wells & Mendip Museum as part of their education initiative - with thanks to them for this opportunity.
