MCSMC Building Services Visit - March 2024

On Monday we were lucky enough to have Danielle Haskings (Head of Sustainability & Social Value) from MCSMC building services visit some of our classes. She talked about her career in construction and talked to the childlren about her journey to overcome stereotypes and become one of the top 100 most influential women in construction for the past few years. The older children explored the crucial role of sustainability in construction and took part in an activity  where they designed their vision of a sustainable school. The younger children took part in a hands-on challenge where they had to use straws and connectors to construct a new building for Wells. Please find some photos of the event below.
