A Walk in Wells - March 2023

During the Spring Term, we have been learning about the London Olympics 2012 and the importance of Mary Bignal-Rand, who took part in the 1964 Olympic Games. She was brought up in Wells and is an important part of the history here. In our English learning we have also been studying the book 'A Walk in London' and learning about some of the geographical features of London. In order to write our own version - A Walk in Wells - we went on a local visit to some of the amazing places we have here in Wells. For example, Wells Cathedral, The Bishops Palace and of course, the Mary Bignal-rand plaque in the market place.
