Local Author Visit - Rebecca Gryspeerdt with her latest children's book, 'Helpful Nell'.

On Thursday, local author and illustrator, Rebecca Gryspeerdt, came in to Shakespeare class to read her beautifully illustrated children's book 'Helpful Nell'. The illustrated story is set in the Bishop's Palace gardens here in Wells and features the Palace swans and cygnets plus the Town Crier. Rebecca talked to the children about her work, why she chose that career and what she had to do to become an author and illustrator. The children even had the opportunity to meet Cuddly Rabbit, one of the main characters in the story! Rebecca then taught the children how to illustrate some of the main characters in her book and explained how she based the characters on members of her own family.
