Catholic Primary School

WE LOVE, WE LEARN, WE LIVE TOGETHER

Welcome

Welcome to St Joseph and St Teresa Catholic Primary School

A Warm Welcome!

I’m delighted to welcome you to St Joseph and St Teresa Catholic Primary School.

At our school we combine purposeful learning with fun and creativity, where pupils are given opportunities to work together collaboratively and as individuals. Pupils are expected to give of their best at all times in their learning, behaviour and respect for others.

We are proud of our creative curriculum and our high levels of academic achievement. Through a wide variety of opportunities, we aim for every child to reach his or her full potential and leave us as confident and caring individuals.

Our School is dedicated to St Joseph and to St Teresa of Avila and works closely with the parish church, situated just across the road from us. However, we don’t simply offer an education to Catholic children, but a Catholic education, welcoming children of all faiths and beliefs who are ready to embrace our values.

If you are interested in your child joining us, then please call us on 01749 678791 in order to arrange a time to visit.

Our mission:

Our Faith, we aim to:

  • Nurture relationships with God through our Catholic teaching and support the spiritual journey through life.
  • Nurture an understanding of Christian values and how these shape our lives and the lives of others.
  • Celebrate individualities and are respectful of all faiths, beliefs and cultures.
  • Be committed to developing and preparing each other, through prayer and reflection to become witnesses to our moral and spiritual values in the wider world.

Our Children, we aim to:

  • Develop lifelong learners who are independent thinkers.
  • Understand the importance of forgiveness and reconciliation.
  • Argue rationally, pose questions and make informed decisions.
  • Understand the world in which they live and the interdependence of individuals, groups, nations and the environment.

Our School Communities, we aim to:

  • Develop appropriate relationships with other children and adults, both in the school and the wider world.
  • Encourage our families, parish and wider school communities to fulfil our vision that all children can reach their full potential.
  • Ensure everyone cares for and respects others, develops an understanding of the world and contributes to society as responsible citizens.
  • Educate the whole child, helping them to become confident, caring and responsible, understanding their part in the wider world.

Our Staff, we aim to:
