National Storytelling Week 2026

During national storytelling week, Nightingale Class had a visit from Siobhan Goodwin to tell them the local legend of the Worminster Dragon. The children loved hearing about how Bishop Joycelyn came out of his home, the Bishop's Palace, to save the day. They learnt that the dragon is remembered every 50 years to stop it returning. They looked on local maps to see where the dragon's home was in relation to their homes and school as well as completing a range of exciting activities.
