I have lived in Wells with my husband and daughter since 2010, having previously worked in Bristol. I’m a self employed mortgage professional. We have a daughter that attended the school and has now moved onto St Gregory’s Catholic College in Bath. With work, plus my daughter’s dance and performing arts commitments, life is pretty hectic for us. I was involved with the school PTFA for a number of years and I am now privileged to be a Foundation Governor and continue to support the school.

I have been associated with St Joseph and St Teresa's Catholic Primary since 1971, when I became a member of the teaching staff, and I have enjoyed over thirty happy years as both a teacher and a Headteacher. During this time our three children thrived at St Joseph and St Teresa's and now our grandchildren continue to do so.  Having retired in July 2006, the opportunity to become a governor of the school in 2019 has given me the chance to use my experience to further support the school community. I look forward to working together with the Governing Body, the Head Teacher and members of staff to ensure that St Joseph and St Teresa’s continues to be a safe and happy place in which to learn, and one which enables our pupils to achieve their full potential.

Convert Catholic, Lay Dominican, wife to Tony, and mother to a very large family, all of whom (including one with complex additional needs) have been very happy, and lovingly cared for and well educated at ‘St Jo’s’ over the past twenty five years.

My background is in nursing, midwifery and dressmaking, but more recently catechesis, particularly for Children’s Liturgy, First Holy Communion preparation and liturgical music-making.
I have enjoyed fund raising for the PTFA by stewarding at the Glastonbury Festival. Now as a Foundation Governor I hope to do my best to help the community of St Joseph’s and St Teresa’s continue its mission as an outstanding Catholic school.

I have previously served on the governing body as vice chair of governors and chair of the finance and premises committee and was pleased to be asked back to offer my support as an associate governor that enables me to share my knowledge and experience whilst balancing this with my job in educational learner management software which can involve a good deal of travel.
