Welcome to our PTFA

We’d like to extend a warm welcome on behalf of our PTFA (Parent Teacher and Friend Association). As a parent or carer of a child at the school you automatically become one of our members.

What we do

Our main aims are to:

  • Support the education of the children via fundraising and other activities
  • Foster strong relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the school.
  • Create a community that extends beyond our school and continues even after our children progress onto their next stage!

We meet regularly at the school to organise our fundraising events and decide on how the raised money should be spent.

Our main fundraising events include stewarding at Glastonbury, the summer BBQ and the second hand school uniform shop but our cake sales are also very popular with parents and children alike!

Every year our PTFA contributes money to enrich our children’s learning experience.  Examples include:

  • annual trips to the pantomime at Bristol Hippodrome
  • school trips from the seaside to Longleat; typically these relate to the term’s learning quest
  • P.E. equipment
  • Materials for our new, special prayer garden
  • A range of specific items chosen by teachers and children to improve their own classroom experience (the class wish list!)

How to get involved

We are always happy to see new faces and hear new ideas – from fundraising to spending the money!  It’s also a great way of meeting new people and becoming involved in the school.

We all understand what it is like to be busy so you can do as much or little as you like, and all support is very much appreciated.

Come along to our next  meeting or grab one of us on the playground!
